We all are in touch with that vast Allness within us. But this outer world, our day-to-day lives, can be very distracting. They buffet our minds, emotions, and senses.
At first we allow things that happen to us to form experiential calluses. We poke at them, and pick, watch our skin growing tougher and less sensitive where we have been scarred (or MORE sensitive if they are still in the blister stage). They are distractions.
Then we learn that there is a deeper life and we don’t need our toughness and scars anymore. We see that which grinds against our surface as freeing. As it polishes away the outer shell, the hull, the pod; we find our souls pulsing inside.
